Kindergarten is vital for children in the slums who don’t have involved and literate parents with books and toys at home. Phnom Penh only has a few private kindergartens and none in or near the slums. 

Riverkids’ kindergartens bring child-centered early education within reach of children who need it most. Morning and afternoon classes of twenty children prepare the children for grade one at the state schools academically, while balancing that with plenty of supported play to encourage creativity and confidence. 

In three years of kindergarten, we've seen our littlest students shine at school, keeping up or even ahead of the other children, thanks to their strong start with us.
