The Angsana tree is a huge rainforest tree in Asia that scatters long curls of seedpods filled with tiny red seeds. As a child, I used to gather them up to fill little twists of cloth to play “five stones” or simply make a big heap of them!

The seeds have been pierced and knotted into tiny abstract flowers and beads to make multi-stranded necklaces that are a grown-up pleasure.
